Landowners

Strictly control the numbers of free-ranging dogs (including your own) on your farm.
Manage the grassland habitat to provide both short and long grass for your Oribi.
Maintain grassland corridors between isolated patches of oribi habitat.
Control alien plants that are invading grassland e.g. wattle, bramble
Count your Oribi regularly. This will enable you to monitor their performance and detect problems early.
Prevent unnecessary distrubances such as footpaths through Oribi areas.
Liaise with your neighbours on management and protection of oribi.
If land development is unavoidable, take oribi into consideration and plan accordingly.
